In a timeless world
the pale light beneath the pines
never changes

In a timeless world
moonlight always scatters
its stars upon the earth

In a timeless world
every sunset is worth
an aurora borealis

In a timeless world
there is no backstory
images have no depth

In a timeless world
the light beneath the pines
will never fade

In a timeless world
the sun will never finish
its slow going down

In a timeless world
the moon will always scatter
its stars upon the earth

Nothing will ever have depth
nothing ever lose its colour
fall apart

or grow old
