Concerned Glance Toward Possible Future Past

ROUSSEAU: Intriguing scene, the concerned glance of the woman makes me wonder what's happening out the frame.

VOLTAIRE: Wonder what they are seeing if it wasn't the driver.

ROUSSEAU: Maybe too much is being left to our imagination about other players but the portrait of the young woman is very vibrant. The eyes of the person in the vehicle and the eyes of the woman are really appealing to me.

VOLTAIRE: This would have been a great shot if shifted 30 cm to the left side. The driver smiling to the camera tones the intensity of the mood/situation down. The chopped face in the left is a concern but the rest is good and a fair amount of tension is present in the frame.

ROUSSEAU: I actually love the details on the man’s hands and how, in the absence of his face, they lead us to construct this character of the story.

VOLTAIRE: Somehow, the apprehensive look on the girl’s face gives the person inside the car an expression slightly mad. Strange tension here.

Intriguing scene, the concerned glance of the woman makes us wonder what's happening out the frame. Now the American middle classes had lost everything they were supposed to have gained in the 1950s, the 1960s, the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s, the whatevers, and the and so on. Acceptance of normalisation ensured that the money arrangements would remain secure and the protective weaponry would grow ever more massive. No one would now dare go anywhere without publicly displaying their security badges. Accretion replaced inflation as... and so on.These classes, refigured as liberal and academic elites... and so on. The painful first decades of the twenty-first century passed and nowthey were increasingly impoverished and deprived of their privileges; they gradually lost their self-confidence and self-respect. Finally, out of their misery, they developed the habits of unquestioning loyalty that allowed them to think of themselves as the embodiment of a higher idea...
